Sales management
Use AI to prepare a focused sales coaching session
Review a small sample of conversations against an agreed skill rubric, then choose one behavior to practice.
A coaching summary should point to observable moments in a conversation.
Editorial workflow guide · AI-assisted preparation · Not a hands-on product test. How we work
Pick one skill and define it
Choose a narrow behavior such as asking a follow-up question, checking understanding, or agreeing a specific next step. Describe what good performance looks like in terms a rep can observe. A broad request to evaluate sales ability invites vague commentary.
Use notes or recordings through your approved internal review process. Explain the coaching purpose to the team and limit access to the people who need the material. Start with a small sample and keep customer context attached so a difficult call is not judged in isolation.

We help put AI to work.
Ask for evidence rather than a personality score
Have AI identify passages where the behavior appears, where an opportunity was missed, and where the record is too ambiguous to judge. Review those passages yourself. Speaker-label errors and incomplete transcripts can produce misleading conclusions.
Avoid using generated sentiment, confidence, or personality labels as a substitute for observing the conversation. A buyer’s short answer might reflect time pressure, an audio issue, or an unsuitable offer. Discuss alternative explanations with the rep before deciding what to practice.
Turn the review into a practical exercise
Choose one moment and rewrite two possible follow-up questions together. Run a short role-play, then agree how the rep will apply the behavior in the next week. Keep the record focused on the skill and the agreed exercise.
Measure whether the behavior becomes more consistent across comparable conversations. Do not treat a small call sample or an AI score as proof of overall rep performance. The manager remains responsible for context, feedback, and any personnel decisions.
Coaching session checklist
- A single skill with an observable definition.
- Specific passages or timestamps supporting the feedback.
- Ambiguities and transcript limitations acknowledged.
- One practice exercise agreed with the rep.
- A later review of the behavior in comparable calls.
A prompt to adapt
Using this anonymized transcript and coaching rubric, identify examples of the target behavior with supporting passages. Flag uncertain speaker attribution and missing context. Suggest two practice questions and one role-play. Do not infer personality or assign an overall employee rating.
Use fictional or anonymized examples while testing. Add your approved business rules before using a draft.Questions or corrections?
